My name is Dr. John Wilson, MD. I am a Board Certified Pediatrician. I attended Medical School at the University of Missouri here in Columbia, and did my pediatric residency at the MU Children’s Hospital. I worked for a hospital run clinic for a few years but decided it was time for a change. I started CoMO Cubs Pediatrics in April of 2013 and have had a lot of fun seeing the practice grow and getting to know all of our great families! A large goal of mine in owning my own practice was to provide an environment where patients and families would always feel welcomed, familiar, and have ease of access to us as providers. We don’t want our patients to feel like a number!

My wife, Megan, is a Respiratory Therapist and was part of
the Critical Care Children’s Transport Team for MU Children’s Hospital. She now works part-time and enjoys being a mostly stay-at-home mom for our two boys and little girl.

Dr. Tina Brockman joined CoMO Cubs in January 2016. She is a Board Certified Pediatrician, and the doctor that my wife and I have always entrusted with the care of our own children. I have known Dr. Brockman for 10 years and I am thrilled that she is providing her excellent, compassionate care here at CoMO Cubs! Dr. Brockman and her husband have 3 children of their own, and at the present time she will be working here 2-days per week (Mondays and Thursdays), while spending the rest of her time caring for her children.

Dr. Brockman completed medical school at Southern Illinois University – Springfield, and her pediatric residency at MU Children’s Hospital.

Kayla Payton CPNP joined us in October of 2017. She is an experienced Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with both ICU and primary care pediatric experience. Kayla is providing our evening hours, and accepting new patients to her practice. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner Kayla worked as an RN in the Pediatric ICU, and the Neonatal ICU at Mizzou Women’s and Childrens Hospital. She provides excellent patient care and we are very lucky to have her here! While not at work Kayla is busy taking care of 2 young boys of her own.
